Happy Birthday Stockport Homes – 20 today!
We started working with Stockport Homes shortly after we established over 15 years ago. Initially, working with funding officer Mark Rogers, we embarked on all sorts of initiatives from iPad The Time of My Life to Kindle In The Wind. The puns just kept coming!
Years later, we are proud delivery partners of their digital inclusion work that has seen over 591 hours of learning with 103 unique learners attending funded sessions at Cornerstone and 698 hours of learning with 53 unique learners attending sessions at York Street community centre over the last 12 months alone (Sept 2024 – Aug 2025).
Together, we get to help people like Andy who was referred to us after struggling to apply for jobs online with just his smartphone. With support from our team at the Stockport Homes’s Cornerstone sessions, he quickly built the confidence to save and upload his CV, send emails, and apply for roles. Andy also benefited from a tablet from the DigiKnow lending library and free data from Good Things Foundation. What started as entry-level digital skills has now led to Andy completing a Level 1 Digital Skills course, his first ever qualification! Andy is now thriving as he continues his journey into work and learning.
Here are a few snaps from the initiatives we have shared over the years.

Thank you for being a continued partner, together we have been able to support so many people to thrive online. Happy Birthday – we wish you so many more.

Stockport Homes is proud to partner with Starting Point in our shared mission to enhance digital inclusion.
Digital inclusion is a journey, not a one-off event, and together we’re making meaningful progress. We look forward to continuing this valuable collaboration and creating lasting impact in our communities.
