Data
If you are struggling to afford your phone contract or running out of data mid way through a month we can help through the Databank . Just fill in our referral form above, or ring us on the DigiKnow helpline 07724 217888.

Starting Point run several Databank support sessions, as part of the Good Things Foundation National Databank. We can issue donated O2 or Vodaphone sims to people who qualify for support.
- Every Monday 11am – 12noon at Bredbury Library, George Lane, Bredbury, SK6 1DJ
- Until May 28th – Thursday 10am -12 noon at Stopford House, Piccadilly, Stockport, SK1 3XE
- Every Thursday 1pm – 2pm Offerton Library, Mallowdale Road, Stockport, SK2 5NX
- From 5th June – Every Friday 9am -11am at Cornerstone (Stockport Homes building) Edward street, SK1 3NQ. (This replaces our previous Thursday Stopford House session)
- Every Friday 10.30 – 11.30 am at Cheadle Library, Ashfield Road, Stockport, SK8 1BB
Social tariffs are cheaper broadband and phone packages for people claiming Universal Credit, Pension Credit and some other benefits. Some providers call them ‘essential’ or ‘basic’ broadband. They’re delivered in the same way as normal packages, just at a lower price. You can find out more on the Ofcom website.

Devices
Starting Point have a list of affordable devices that our Digital Champions update regularly. See our ‘Devices’ page for more information and to download our guide for free.
If you are looking at buying a device – look no further than local charity Community Computers. They offer high spec refreshed device for as little at £60. They are so good all our Starting Point team use them. Find out more on the Community Computers website.

Skills
You can learn new skills with us or share your skills.
We run over 10 funded computer classes each week and there are lots of other organisations in Stockport who host sessions too. Out most up to date list is on our ‘skills’ page.
