9-week online session supporting men to feel connected with peers and focus on health, wellbeing and confidence. Open to men living in Stockport looking to progress to work or volunteering opportunities.

Starting Point Communiversity online craft sessions (crafternoon and craftermoon)
Informal skills sharing sessions on Zoom on a Wednesday afternoon or evening, where local people share their craft skills with others. Activity packs distributed on a monthly basis providing the resources required to engage each week.

Working as part of the boroughwide DigiKnow network, offering loan devices, mobile broadband and a triage service to support people to access what they need to be online at home.

Woodley & Bredbury Community Neighbours (Mutual Aid)
Working alongside a group of dedicated neighbours to create change in our community. The group now runs its own helpline and email address, as well as regular social events including quizzes and coffee mornings. They are planning listening campaigns and the use of local spaces to benefit the community.

Food Support at Starting Point
Working with local businesses to create a sustainable way of supporting our community to access free hot meals for children during lockdown. We have been using food as a method of engaging, having conversations and building trust for over 10 years. We also host face to face and online cooking sessions which include ingredient packs during school holidays. We operate from two 5 star hygiene rated businesses.

Starting Point Youth Engagement
Working in partnership with other leading social enterprises including PIE; our coffee shop space is regularly used to support young people to take ownership of their own activities. These have included coding clubs, evening socials, guitar lessons, spoken word workshops, podcast making sessions and leadership learning circles.

DigiKnow Census Support (March until May 2021)
Phone, Google Meet and Face to Face support for people living in Stockport to complete their census online. Support available from 1st March until 30th April 2021. Census day is 21st March 2021. Support is available in English, Spanish and Farsi. There will be a census support helpline open Monday – Friday 9am – 7pm and Saturdays 10am – 5pm.
