Not one, but two July Tea and Techs?! Join us for Starting Conversations and Fun Digital Activities.

Do you volunteer in a community space, drop-in “Cafe chat” role or want to engage new people to learn digital skills? This is the training for you. Get out from behind that desk and turn a non-digital chat into a digital one, or put on a fun activity to bring curious learners to you! Reach people who don’t see themselves as digital learners.

This session will use two guides, our Starting Digital Conversations guide and Fun Digital Activities.  We’ll be looking at how to start conversations with new people and how to draw people out into discussing digital without feeling uncomfortable.

We’ll also be exploring visually interesting digital activities, from the classic online jigsaws, to using simple tablet games, silent disco headphones, What 3 Words walks, and many more. You’ll leave the session with 10 activities to choose from, and an armoury of new conversation starters – tell me, do you have a phone, and does it annoy you?
