Interested in supporting people to get online? Starting Point offer two free training courses as part of the DigiKnow network to give you all the skills you need.

Digital Friends training

Cover all the basics of recognising where digital exclusion shows up for your customers or participants. All the tips you need to successfully signpost people to local services. Book on this free and friendly 1hr session here. Online and easy to access. Use the drop down on the form to see all available dates here. Training dates are usually the first Tuesday of the month.

Digital champions training covers all you need to know to get started helping people locally to feel more confident to use computers.

Join our free, online training. We offer follow up support to everyone taking part in these sessions.

Training sessions from the National digital inclusion network.

Good Things foundation run the National Digital Inclusion Network. If you run digital sessions, it’s worth becoming a member. From free training, access to the national databank, UK-wide ‘peer support’ sessions and access to funding, they have lots to offer their members. The National Digital Inclusion Network run regular training sessions and online meet ups for Digital champions and member organisations. From advice on supporting ESOL learners to gain digital skills, to trouble shooting digital sessions, helping learners to avoid scams, or supporting older learners, there is something useful here for anyone involved in Digital inclusion.
